The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing sales operations across the South-West region. The successful candidate will drive sales growth, expand market share, supervise Area Managers and Medical Representatives, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure the achievement of regional sales targets through effective planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets.
Lead, coach, and supervise Area Managers and Medical Representatives within the South-West region.
Monitor sales performance and ensure the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, hospitals, doctors, pharmacists, wholesalers, and other key customers.
Identify new business opportunities and drive market expansion across the region.
Conduct regular field visits to monitor performance, coach team members, and strengthen customer relationships.
Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence to management.
Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, regional performance reports, and business reviews.
Ensure the effective execution of promotional activities and product launches.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical marketing practices, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Education
B.Sc. in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or any other Science-related discipline.
Experience
Minimum of 10–15 years’ experience in pharmaceutical company.
At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role such as Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager.
Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets and successfully leading sales teams.

Good knowledge of pharmaceutical sales, hospital detailing, and distributor management.
Strong understanding of the South-West pharmaceutical market.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Key Attributes
Must reside in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Must be willing to travel extensively across Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, and Kwara States.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Results-oriented with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
